Name of Empire: The People's Technocracy of Seresa.
Leader of Empire: Empress Lyndis VI
System: Belevan
Planet:
Beleva VIII
- Renamed to Seresa upon the unification of the planet.
Goals:
- To unite the entire Belevan system, through any means necessary and to spread its pro industrial-technological ideals across the galaxy.
- To maintain peace, prosperity, and harmony to the Empire.
- To maintain peace, prosperity, and harmony to its allies.
Short Bio:
The Eighth Belevan colony was originally settled by multi-cultural outcasts -- refugees, criminals, and illegal scientists who were fleeing persecution and war. They had settled upon the Ice planet, hoping to hide from the history which chased them. Eventually, in the decades after their settling, the refugees began to cannibalise their technologies for vital equipment necessary to their survival in such harsh environments. Remaining schematics, artefacts, and relics were stored away in large, underground caves, protected by 'curators' of the society, aiming to safeguard the secrets of their ancestors. This period was known as the 'Dark Age', where the people resorted to co-operative hunter-gathering in order to survive.
In the year 2398, the original culture of the Seres had long been forgotten -- remaining only in the hands of the Curators, whom had their tongues removed to guard the secrets of their ancestors. One day, however, a strange, flying object crashed onto the surface of the colony, attracting the curious eyes of the primitive dwellers. Of course, the Curators rushed to the scene, immediately dismantling and hiding the vehicle in its caves... But this caused an uprising -- the Seres knew that the Curators were hiding something for generations, and that it had to stop. In the following year, the Seres eliminated the Curators, and regained access to their ancestor's technologies and knowledge.
It was during this time the Seres experienced a Rennaisance and cultural revolution like no other -- accelerating from a hunter-gatherer society to a full-fledged, planet-wide Empire in a span of 38 years, where they begun to worship their ancestors, and continue their work on terra-forming the planet.
